Cookie Policy
Effective date: July 25, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Emersoft uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on https://emersoft.co and its subdomains. It should be read with the Privacy Policy and the choices shown in our Cookie Consent Manager.
1. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits and identifiers that store or access information on a device. They can support security and functionality, remember choices, measure use and, where enabled, support advertising.
2. Who Sets Cookies
First-party cookies are set by Emersoft’s website. Third-party cookies or similar technologies are set by providers whose services are embedded in or connected to the website. Those providers may process information under their own privacy notices.
Shopify may use separate cookies when you interact with Shopify, install the App or access Shopify-hosted pages. Those technologies are controlled by Shopify and are not governed by this Cookie Policy.
3. Categories We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These technologies are required for core website operation, security, network management, consent preferences, load balancing and form delivery. They cannot normally be disabled through the consent manager because the website would not function correctly without them.
Analytics and Performance Cookies
These technologies help us understand visits, navigation, errors and performance so we can improve the website. Examples may include Google Analytics or comparable analytics tools. In regions requiring consent, they are activated only after consent.
Functionality and Customer-Relationship Cookies
These technologies remember settings or support enhanced functions, forms, scheduling and customer-relationship tools. Examples may include HubSpot or similar services. Some may require consent depending on their purpose and local law.
Advertising and Social Media Cookies
Where enabled, these technologies may measure campaigns, limit repeated advertisements, build audiences or connect with social media services such as Google, Meta or TikTok. They are non-essential and are used only with consent where required. Emersoft Books order data is not used for targeted advertising.
4. Current Cookie Details
The Cookie Consent Manager provides the most current inventory of detected cookies and similar technologies, including the cookie or service name, provider, purpose, category and duration where available. Because website tools can change, the consent manager is the authoritative operational list.
Known providers may include Cloudflare, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and HubSpot, together with advertising or social providers only where those tools are actively deployed.
5. Consent and Your Choices
Where UK, EEA or other applicable law requires consent, we do not set or access non-essential cookies before you make an affirmative choice. The banner provides a way to accept, reject or customise non-essential categories. Rejecting must be as easy as accepting.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie Settings” or equivalent link on the website. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. Strictly necessary technologies will continue to operate.
Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, but doing so may affect website functions. Browser controls do not always block pixels, local storage or server-side technologies, so the consent manager is the preferred control.
6. Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where applicable law requires it and our systems support it, we treat recognised browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising for that browser or device. We do not currently respond to the older “Do Not Track” signal because there is no consistent industry standard for it.
7. Retention
Cookie duration varies by purpose. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends. Persistent cookies remain for the period shown in the consent manager or until deleted. Consent records may be retained for a reasonable period to demonstrate and respect your choices.
8. Third-Party Processing
Third-party providers may receive device, browser, IP address, page interaction or campaign information through their technologies. We select providers and configure them in line with our purposes, contracts and consent settings, but their independent processing is governed by their own notices.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when technologies, providers, purposes or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated, and the consent manager will be refreshed as appropriate.
10. Contact
Questions about cookies or consent choices may be sent to [email protected] or through https://emersoft.co/contact.
